Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
Vinay Sahasrabuddhe formally served as a National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
BJP, established in 1980 is the ruling party of India and one of the few political parties in India that are not being run by a particular dynasty. Known for its Nationalist Ideology, over the years the BJP has established that when it comes to governance, it easily has an edge over other parties. Good-Governance and development are the two cornerstones of BJP's Policy Framework. BJP's world-view is based on the philosophy of Antyodaya, or highest preference to those who are lowest at the ladder of socio-economic development, i.e.the most deprived.
Known as Bharatiya Jan Sangh (1951-1975) in its earlier incarnation, the BJP has given several national leaders including Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister, Lal Krishna Advani, former Deputy PM, late Kushabhau Thackrey, Murali Manohar Joshi, Venkaiyya Naidu, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah are the two leaders currently at the helm of Party. To day, BJP is ruling in States like Goa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Manipur and Aasam. In States like Jammu Kashmir Nagaland, Sikkim and Andhra Pradesh, BJP is a key partner in ruling coalition.
Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, as Director General of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini was associated with BJP right since 1988. In 1999, he became In Charge of National Training Cell and handled the responsibility till 2009. During his tenure, he evolved the concept of three-phased capacity building programme for Party cadres. Also, he successfully prepared a National Training Manual as well as National Repository of Training Notes (Prarup Kosh ).Then Party Chief Nitin Gadkari (2010-2013) appointed him as his political associate. During this period, he handled Party's Good Governance Cell and also played a key role in establishing BJP supported Public Policy Research Centre (PPRC). In 2014, Party President Amit Shah appointed him as National Vice President and made In Charge of organisational affairs in a Madhya Pradesh. In June 2015, he was again made In-Charge of Good Governance and Policy Research Departments of the Party. In early 2015, he handled the mega Membership Campaign of the Party as its Co-In-Charge. This successful campaign made BJP the largest Party of the world with over hundred million members.
Vinay Sahasrabuddhe has represented BJP in Taiwan in 2009 when a Party delegation visited Taipei. Later, in 2011 he was a part of Party delegation to China led by then Party Chief Nitin Gadkari. In 2012, he led the party-delegation at the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (I-CAPP) at Baku in Azerbaijan. In 2015, again; he was assigned the task of representing the Party at the I-CAPP Convention held at Beijing to discuss the One-Belt, One-Road project of People’s Republic of China.
